Finally! We are ready to begin fundraising for the building today! We explored the many options to finance this school since after completing the design in May. The Foundations for Senegal (FFS) team made dozens of calls to companies and nonprofits asking for a partnership, but such an agreement never worked out mutually. Then we began talking with the religious community to use a church's legally automatic 501(c)(3) status, but it was suggested by existing missions team leaders in Africa to use a third party collection box, such as a crowdfunding website, and use the buy-a-brick concept already suggested by members within the FFS community.

Becoming our own 501(c)(3) to receive tax-exemptions and allow tax-deductible donations is a realistic future goal if Foundations for Senegal were to continue operation as a link with Sweden's Mission: Senegal and Senegal's Association Chance for all Senegal (ACS). Today, however, to become our own nonprofit to raise donations, that 501(c)(3) status is an endeavor that cannot yet materialize in the near future.

These kids are either kept at home to work or walking miles to an overcrowded school, which is both expensive and dangerous for these children. Association Chance for all Senegal (ACS) is the Senegalese nonprofit who has supported local families since 2011, providing academic, health and physical education with the goal of reducing systemic poverty. ACS has mobilized this impoverished community to support this school .

Foundations for Senegal is a charity design team based in Pullman, Washington, USA, acting as the link for donations to ACS.

This is a 100% volunteer-run project where 100% of your donations go towards the school.

We need ONE THOUSAND bricks , $27 each, to reach our $27,000 goal by December 31, 2017

Your name is painted on the brick upon completion of the school (Click here to send us the name and mailing address)

Donate 10 bricks and your name is carved on a plaque, framed, and hung inside the building.
